Ristorante Accademia – Authentic Tuscan Dining in the Heart of Florence

I was in a bit of a rush to get to a nearby museum and just needed something quick, so I stopped in and ordered a pizza and a glass of wine. What I wasn’t expecting was to have the best pizza I’ve ever had in my life. Simple, unassuming, and absolutely unforgettable. The crust was perfect, the ingredients fresh and full of flavor, and the service warm and welcoming. Even though I was short on time, I left feeling like I’d experienced something special. Highly recommend this spot. Don’t miss it if you’re in the area!

PLEASE GO HERE ITS A MUST! I am a student studying abroad here for the semester and I love this restaurant- find myself coming here multiple times a week. The staff keeps me coming back- Johnny, Martin, and Pietro are always a good time and help me practice my Italian whenever I ask. The food is amazing and employees are always kind. Would 100% recommend and will come back whenever I find myself in Florence.

Food was outstanding. My waiter both days was incredible. I ordered some things to be shipped. The mushrooms strudel with parmesan sauce was amazing. I tried the wild boar pasta and could not believe how tasty and almost sweet the meat was. I dined alone and enjoyed every second. I hope you be able to return there. Grazie for two wonderful dinners.

The best Chicken Parmesan that I’ve had in my entire life. We came to Florence just to get this meal, they also have a Fried Lasagna that was also amazing. The wait staff is fantastic and friendly and is always the best!! I’ve been here on 3 different trips and will be back again!

Last week was my second visit to Ristorante Accademia in 12 months, and I highly recommend! Last fall we visited and had many courses as part of a set menu with our group, which included rabbit. I was shocked at how much I enjoyed this dish. Our visit last week saw the same friendly and kind staff and service as last year. We had just flown in from the U.S. so we were not very hungry, but I had the best risotto of my life with wildflower honey, sweet, savory, and prepared very well. I also got a roasted artichoke dish and some Chianti. All of our food was lovely, and the ambiance and atmosphere is nice. It is located in Piazza San Marco and has been a quick walk from our accommodation this year and last year. I recommend this place due to the delectable food and wonderful service.

My husband and I have been here for multiple dinners and lunches. We always have the best meals and excellent service!! Highly recommend!

I have been returning to this restaurant year after year, Alone or with groups, is the best place in Florence. The food is delicious and everyone in the staff is friendly, large selection of wines, overall the best!! And is always full so make a reservation!
